Mueller Park Junior High Weekly Announcements

1. If you missed the announcement about this year’s musical, we are doing “Cinderella!” Auditions will be held on Tuesday, November 6th, after school in the choir room. Please sign up for an audition time in the office. It is not required to prepare anything ahead of time, but you may, if you wish. Auditions usually take 15-20 minutes. This is one of the big events of the year we love to participate in and watch. Everyone who wants to be in the musical is part of the cast. Specific assignments will be posted after the auditions. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Alley or Mr. Poff.

2. The Boys’ Basketball team has two games this week. Tuesday’s game will be at home against South Davis Jr. High. Plan to come cheer for the team! Thursday’s game will be at Centerville Jr. High. Good luck Panther team!

3. There will be no intramurals this week.

4. Math Club will be held today right after school in Ms. Ord’s room #415. 5. Drama Club will be today in the choir room, right after school.

6. The Tuesday Tutor bus will be available for bus students who need extra help from teachers. The bus will leave school grounds at 4:00 p.m. 7. The Creative Writing Club will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31st , in Ms. Beeton’s room #403, right after school.

8. Art Club will be held Thursday, Nov. 1st , right after school in Ms. Rigby’s room.

9. ATTENTION NATIONAL JR. HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS: Please remember to record your service hours in Canvas, especially if you attended the service project during Panther Time. We were able to assemble 120 pantry packs! Listen for announcements about our next service project coming soon. Also, remember there is a fun service opportunity listed on Canvas.

10. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: The lost and found is now located in the Student Support room, which is Mrs. Freckleton’s office. If you wish to look for something, it will only be available before and after school. There is limited space for lost items. Items not picked up will be donated to charity monthly.

11. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Term 1 grades will be available in my.DSD on Wednesday, Oct. 31st. Check both academic grades and citizenship grades. REMEMBER: Anyone interested in running for student office or trying out for cheerleader for next year, your eligibility will be based on your grades and citizenship from first, second, and third term of this year. Also, girls interested in trying out for basketball this year, eligibility will be based on the first term grades and citizenship.

12. Mark your calendar for the Davis Reads Family Literacy Night, where you can meet the authors Chad Morris and Shelly Brown. They wrote “Mustaches for Maddie” and “Squint.” The event will be held November 19th, at the Viewmont High School auditorium, at 7:00 p.m.

13. Keep saving those boxtops! If your class brings in the largest total by Nov. 28th, you will win a pizza lunch. The teacher will also receive a $25 Amazon gift card. Weekly candy prizes will be awarded to the class who brings the most boxtops in that week. Boxtops will be collected and totaled the first “A” day of the week.
